Hello everyone! π
Welcome to Day 8 of my blog.
Today, I want to share one of the most beautiful and unforgettable experiences of my life π€. This happened about three years ago, when my uncle and aunt, who were living abroad, came back to Sri Lanka. ✈️
We wanted to enjoy a new and different experience together. So, with everyone’s agreement — me, my uncle, my aunt, my aunt’s sister, and her brother — we decided to go on a boat safari at Madu River π€πΏ.At around 9:40 in the morning, we got into the boat. Slowly and peacefully, we moved forward along the river. Passing through the beautiful mangrove trees, the journey felt calm and magical π³π.
Our first stop was Kothduwa Temple, a temple located in the middle of the river π✨. It was a very peaceful and beautiful place.
On the way, we stopped at a small shop in the middle of the river, parked our boat, and enjoyed some refreshing kirala drinks πΉπ
Next, we visited another small island in the river. The people living there earn their income through the cinnamon industry πΏ. We watched how cinnamon is prepared, and they kindly offered us a cup of delicious cinnamon tea. ☕π€
After that, we went to the fish spa ππ¦ , this was my favorite place! I sat down and put my feet into the water, and many little fish came and gently nibbled my feet. At first, it felt a bit ticklish π, but later you get used to it. It was very relaxing and refreshing for the mind. πΈπ§♀️
We also met a few new little friends along the way π₯°.
This is a jellyfish — we saw many of them during the trip πͺΌ✨.
And here is a tiny baby monkey ππ. Can you see how it’s hugging me? Such an innocent little friend!
This is a baby crocodile ππ² — but don’t worry, this one was also a harmless little buddy.
After experiencing all these wonderful moments, we happily started our journey back home with beautiful memories in our hearts ππ‘.
If you also have unforgettable travel experiences like this, feel free to share them in the comments below π¬π.
See you in the next blog ✍️
Have a wonderful day everyone π
Take care… Bye ππ
